We're not too sure of the exact context behind this particular piece of footage but, to be honest dear JOE reader, we don't really care – it's a giant pet hippo going for a stroll in the middle of Mexico. Enough said.
According to a report in
The Metro, the hippo was spotted in the Mexican town of Tlajomulco de Zuniga after its owner allowed it out to stretch its legs in the local park. Mexican police then surrounded the beast and herded it into its cage, while the man claiming to own the hippopotamus was subsequently arrested after he lacked the documentation to prove his ownership.

Who knows why these things happen? Maybe he was just a hungry, hungry hippo out looking for a munch, or maybe he was a rarely-seen Hip-hopopotamus, simply out looking for his Rhymenoceros rival...
