Stirring.
President Barack Obama delivered a passionate plea to the US voters in an effort to stop Donald Trump, saying he would consider it a “personal insult” to his legacy if voters didn’t turn out for Hillary Clinton.
While Obama’s name won’t be on the ballot for the November 8th election, the US President was at pains to stress that progress, tolerance and his legacy are.
“If I hear anybody saying their vote does not matter, that it doesn’t matter who we elect — read up on your history. It matters. We’ve got to get people to vote. I will consider it a personal insult — an insult to my legacy — if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election. You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote”, Obama says.
The US President also said that Donald Trump’s defining principle is opposition to everything that he has achieved during his eight years in the Oval Office.
