Forget about the States, it was pure madness up in Derrylin yesterday.
Up until a couple a years ago, the term ‘Black Friday’ had little or no relevance in these parts; the chaotic scrambling for discounted goods before Christmas was something we left to our friends in the US of A.
Judging by yesterday, however, the madness seems to have spread and if you think it hasn’t reached Ireland yet, think again.
Just look at the mayhem* that erupted in a Centra in Derrylin in Fermanagh yesterday as customers battled it out to get their hands on some cheap clementines.
*The people involved were, in all likelihood, taking the p*ss.
Hat-tip to Garvan McGinley and Aoife McCaffrey for sending this one our way
