This wouldn’t have looked out of place at the Aviva on Saturday.

When young kids dream of becoming a police officer, we would imagine it is usually because of thoughts of the thrill of chasing and eventually catching a suspect and not, we would assume, the joys associated with the mountains of paper and administrative work that are part and parcel of the job. One cop in Sacramento managed to live the dream recently when apprehending a suspect in incredibly dramatic circumstances, which, thankfully for all the would-be cops out there, was captured by a video camera nearby. With the suspect attempting to flee pursing police officers on a bicycle, the cop in question came from nowhere to stop him in tracks with a spectacular diving tackle and then grounded him with the help of a couple of his fellow officers and what appears to be a bystander eager to get in on the glory. That was cool. Wheelie cool. Hat-tip: Rugby Dump
