VIDEO: Foil, Arms and Hog turn their immense talent towards the 1916 Rising and it’s wonderful

Paul Moore

A mustached Padraig Pearse and some serious looting on O’Connell Street.

While certain articles have played it extremely fast and loose with their portrayal of the 1916 Rising, the Irish public have been treated to some truly wonderful tributes this week. Centenary was universally adored, some people have believe that it’s the best thing that RTÉ have ever made, while countless other musical, artistic and inspirational tributes were all memorable.

While the 1916 Rising is an extremely important and serious event, the brilliant comedic minds of Foil Arms and Hog have somehow managed to make our hearts swell with pride and ribs tickle with laughter.

Take a look as the lads stage the most inept interview about Irish history that you’ll ever see. Looting, mistaken identity and a version of Padraig Pearse/James Connolly that looks suspiciously like Super Mario are all featured here.
