Panic reigned in Dallas last night after several shooters opened fire on a crowd of protesters.

A crowd had gathered in central Dallas to protest the police murders of black men Philando Castile in Minnesota and Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge less than 48 hours apart. The peaceful protest was tragically interrupted by gunshots ringing out from above, down onto the crowd below. Reports suggest that five police officers have been killed and several more are receiving treatment in hospital.
