We never thought we'd see the day.

Fox News has stuck up for its rival news organisation CNN after Donald Trump accused the latter of peddling 'fake news' while reporting on Russian interference in the recent US election.

During Wednesday's press conference, Trump engaged in a shouting match with CNN's Jim Acosta and refused to give the reporter a question.

"You are fake news!" Trump insisted, to which Acosta responded, "That is not appropriate."

Now, Fox News have weighed in and, for once, they're siding against Trump having largely supported him during his campaign against Hillary Clinton.
