You don’t see this everyday…
Police discovered that the delicious yellow fruit destined for Aldi stores across Germany were packed full of the Class-A drug.
Around 300kg of the stuff, which had the street value of an estimated €15m, was packed amongst banana boxes and accidentally delivered to stores in Berlin, according to reports.
Staff must have got some surprise when they unpacked that lot.
It’s the second time that Aldi has unwittingly taken delivery of Columbia coke in 18 months.
Police are now a-peel-ing for witnesses. Okay, we’ll get our coats…
