One family tried to save their baby by throwing the child from the window of the family home
Abaetetuba, in the northern state of Para, Brazil, was the setting for some incredible scenes this weekend, as a sinkhole swallowed up at least 13 homes in one neighbourhood.
Right before the hole swallows up the houses, you can see in the footage that a family throws their baby from the window to try and ensure that the child survives in to a crowd of passers by, who catch the child and rush it to safety.
According to
Business Insider, no one was killed in the incident, but the devastation caused is pretty clear from the CCTV footage.
