Footage has surfaced of a member of the Greek coast guard allegedly attempting to deliberately sink an inflatable boat occupied by Syrian refugees in Turkish waters. The footage, which was reportedly filmed on November 12 by Turkish fishermen, shows a crewman on a Greek coast guard vessel allegedly attempting to pierce the inflatable boat with a lance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f2pfsm2qZc Clip via Viral News According to the Independent, approximately 50 migrants that had been on the boat were eventually taken to the Turkish port city of Didim by the Turkish coast guard. According to Turkish newspaper Hurryiet, Greek commander Athanasios Athanasopulos was said to be “shocked” upon seeing the footage, and vowed to take action.
