The only surprise is that it’s taken her this long.
Hillary Clinton has targeted Donald Trump in a TV ad for the first time in the race to become the next President of the United States.
The presumptive Democratic candidate for the White House has released a video aimed at Trump’s home state of New York, in which she celebrates the diversity of the state and rails against Trump’s anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim views.
“No, we don’t all look the same,” she says in voiceover while images of New York City fill the screen. Along with images of the city’s firefighters during September 11th, 2001, she insists, “We don’t all sound the same, either. But when we pull together, we do the biggest things in the world.”
She then goes in for the kill.
“So when some say we can solve America’s problems by building walls, banning people based on their religion, and turning against each other, well, this is New York, and we know better.”

Meanwhile, Trump saw himself the centre of another furor following comments on abortion on Wednesday night.
In an interview with MSNBC Trump stated that he believed women who have abortions should be punished if the practice were illegal.
Clinton was quick to show her disgust at his comments.
We can’t let someone with this much contempt for women’s rights anywhere near the White House.https://t.co/OjU9gRwsxo
