This woman in the Netherlands obviously didn’t see that Top Gear gif from a few weeks ago…
If there’s one thing that truly boggles the mind here at JOE, it’s people who think it’s okay to sneak through a level crossing when the barriers are down.
That’s exactly what one woman in the Netherlands tried to do and she was caught on camera doing it, but luckily she managed to get on the side of safety just moments before a train came barrelling through the crossing.
According to the Huff Post, the footage above is actually a few years old, but the Dutch railway company ProRail has released it this week as a public service warning against sneaking under crossing barriers.
ProRail should feature this gif from Top Gear along with the video above, as it shows us the destructive power of a train moving at high speed… If it can do that to a car, just imagine what it would do to a person.
