The boom is back.
In a rather welcome break from the two previous leaders debates, last night’s Election Special didn’t descend into a shouting match as the majority of the candidates were given ample time to discuss their points and express their opinions.
While some shaky camerawork and constant adverts for Facebook did detract from the overall experience, there’s no denying that the debate certainly moved the political discussion forward in this critically important week for Ireland’s future, especially considering the fact that the Repeal the Eighth issue was finally discussed.
In a somewhat ironic turn of events, it was our Minister for Health Leo Varadkar that suffered a minor scare though when a rogue boom mic bumped him on the head and the whole thing was caught on camera for your enjoyment.
Take a look.
