Cross it off.
There are certain words, phrases and cliches that are so commonly used in everyday life that they almost become second nature.
For example, we feel so close to all of you incredibly nice JOE readers that you can probably finish our…sandwiches.
With the General Election drawing ever closer, it’s vitally important that the Irish public get clear, concise and accurate information ahead of the February 26th vote but we feel a degree of sympathy for this RTÉ reporter.
Apparently he was reporting on foreign affairs – David Cameron’s current EU problems to be specific – but take a look as he he gets tongue-tied while trying to say “cross the t’s and dot the i’s”.
Big thanks to JOE readers Rob Cleary, Jennifer Lyons and Vinny G who all sent this funny clip into us.

Some Twitter users spotted this little slip up.
Just heard RTE journalist talking about Cameron's EU problem still having i's to cross & t's to dot! Oh dear – kind of error I'd make 😁

'Eyes to cross and teas to dot' tuairisceoir RTÉ ar @rtenews Tony Connolly 'that's Tony with a T no dot!'

Having seen this clip, we’re instantly reminded of this scene from Wayne’s World 2.
