Video: Scary stuff as plane tries and fails to land in England due to high winds

While it has been so windy at JOE Towers today our daily darts tournament has been postponed, over in England and Scotland the high winds are far more serious.

Just how strong they were is illustrated in this video, shot today at Birmingham airport by a guy called David Goodship.
It shows a jet trying to land sideways before having to give up and go back into the air. According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, the plane made a second attempt to land, which was also aborted, before diverting, and landing safely at Gatwick.
