A video uploaded to social media on Friday afternoon appears to show a woman throwing a drink in the face of Tánaiste Leo Varadkar.
The video shows a woman approaching the Tánaiste in Merrion Square in Dublin while Varadkar is speaking to a camera.
The woman appears to throw a drink in his face before running away.
Gardaí have told JOE they are investigating an incident that occurred in Merrion Square at approximately 3pm on Friday.
