“Oh, sorry amigos, we didn’t see you there…” *Instantly tells driver to ram them again*.

“Oh, sorry amigos, we didn’t see you there…” *Instantly tells driver to ram them again*.

That’s what we imagine the commander of this Spanish Navy RIB boat said following this heavy-handed altercation with a group of Greenpeace activists, which took place off the coast of the Canary Islands over the weekend.

According to reports, a 23-year-old Italian activist was injured after the Navy hit his boat and he was later taken to a hospital in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, where he received medical attention for a fracture and cuts.

A second activist was also knocked overboard when the Navy hit her boat and you can hear the woman screaming for help in the video below. She was eventually plucked out of the water by one of the Navy divers.

Greenpeace says: “The Arctic Sunrise has been in Canary Islands waters to demonstrate against a Repsol drill-ship, the Rowan Renaissance, which is carrying out surveys for possible future oil extraction in the region.”

Just be warned, the video features scenes that some viewers may find disturbing (make sure to read that in your best authoritative voice)…
