Lines, detention and expulsion for this young man
When JOE was in secondary school we were frequently caught texting and playing snake on our Nokia 3230 but the punishment was always quite mild.
Our teacher would usually end up just taking our phone away from us and returning it at the end of class which was fine by us. It’s a shame that the girl we were messaging had to do without reading all of our riveting and witty stories though.
In the end, wasn’t she the one who was punished.?
That being said, we really wish that this high school student in New Jersey followed our mellow example though after he completely lost the plot when his teacher confiscated his mobile phone.
It comes as no surprise to learn that the student has since been suspended and charged with assault after he body-slammed his teacher to the ground.
