All those swimming lessons as a young fella are finally coming in handy
The weather has been pretty terrible in the last few days, with storms and floods hitting various different parts of the country. Cork has been pretty badly affected, and Oliver Plunkett Street, one of the most well known streets in the city, certainly saw plenty of flooding.
The water levels were even high enough for one brave/foolish lad to strip down to his jocks and go for a bit of a swim on the street.
While we’re sure it was beyond freezing in there, he displays some fairly good form and technique on that backstroke. We do hope he went straight to the hospital though, as there’s no telling what sorts of lovely diseases are floating around in that water.
Hat-tip to Mark Buckley who sent this our way
