VIDEO: These Irish students show their support for the Irish rugby team in an amazing way

Ireland's tallest mountain is no match for these fanatic Irish rugby fans

Colm Boohig

Ain’t no mountain high enough, baby.

The Rugby World Cup kicks off this week and we can’t wait because Ireland’s first match is this Saturday against Canada.

Ireland is buzzing in anticipation, but there may not be many fans as excited as UCC alumni Dave McCarthy, Podge Haughney, Barry Hayes and Decie O’Brien.

The lads demonstrated their passion for the cause with a pretty special trip to a natural Irish wonder this week.

Soeaking to JOE, Dave McCarthy said: “We went on a road trip and climbed Carrauntoohill, via The Devil’s Ladder. It was class, we could see Molls gap, the Black Valley, the Lakes of Killarney and part of the Ring of Kerry.

‘We even met an Austrian couple called Tony and Julia and they helped us film parts of it.”

Anyone else fancy a trip to Carrauntoohil? You will after watching the lads’ expedition, it looked like great craic.
