It’s early days, but we get the feeling that the University of Limerick is going to be a fun place to be with Tommy Bolger in charge.
The self-professed Wolf of the UL Students’ Union rose to national prominence earlier this week after starring in a brilliant Wolf of Wall Street parody that doubled as his campaign video and deservedly attracted attention and plenty of plaudits nationwide.
With the video giving Tommy the momentum of a runaway freight train, he went on to be officially elected as the Student Union President, as was confirmed on the UL Students’ Union Facebook page late last night.
Before that, however, Tommy decided to work the crowd a little more before the ballots were cast by recreating the chest bumping/humming routine you might have seen earlier this week in front of a spellbound audience in the college grounds yesterday.
We’re not sure about the #IndulgeTheBolge hashtag that’s doing the rounds, but there’s no doubting that whatever it is, Tommy Bolger certainly has it.
