The runways at Heathrow Airport are slowly building passenger plane traffic following a technical failure that closed London’s airspace.

The short video gives us a look at how quickly the runways start building traffic when an airspace closure is in place…

Thousands of passengers now face delays as EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, has reported that no flights will be accepted in or out of London until 7 p.m. local time.

According to The Eye News, a spokeswoman for London’s Heathrow Airport, Marianna Panizza, said there was a power outage at the air traffic control center in Swanwick, which controls the airspace for London.

“Flights are currently experiencing delays and we will update passengers as soon as we have more information,” Panizza said.
