Not many students who go on their J1 can say that they ended up on national TV in America without getting arrested
We’ve seen a few brilliant J1 trips from throughout the summer, with lads going on the lash with Ed Sheeran or taking an epic tour of ‘Merica, but it will be hard to top this latest one.
We might have missed it when it first happened earlier this month, but this one is definitely worth sharing. These two girls, Marie and Catriona, from Mayo and Sligo respectively, were on a J1 in Los Angeles and just happened to end up on one of the biggest late night talk shows on TV, when they were pulled from the audience by host Craig Ferguson.
The three of them have a great laugh about their time in LA, being from our fair island, and despite a little bit of casual racism about potatoes and taking your horse to the pub, Craig puts them at ease and it’s a pretty great segment.
The video contains the whole interview and show, but the two girls feature right from the start. They even get sent on a trip to a lovely restaurant in LA for free for their troubles, so a good night all round we reckon for Marie and Catriona.
