Video: Wicklow man’s Garth Brooks parody song is the best thing you’ll hear today

We're playing 'If The Concert Never Comes' on repeat here...

JOE

If the real Garth cancels then definitely book this guy instead…

Garth Brooks is certainly dominating headlines at the moment as his upcoming Croke Park gigs hang in the balance. While many fans are on tenterhooks waiting for news about whether July’s concerts will go ahead or not, many businesses and individuals have taken it upon themselves to make the most of the situation. Every comedy cloud and all that.

We’ve had hilarious headlines from The Metro, some quick-thinking photoshopping from AIB, and now JOE readers and Wicklow natives Eoghan O’Neill and his sister Caoimhe have written, arranged and recorded this wonderful little ditty, all sung to the tune of Garth Brooks’ huuuuuge hit, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes.’

It’s undoubtedly the best (and only) Garth Brooks parody song that we’ve heard since this entire shambolic mess kicked off…

A massive Stetson-sized hat-tip to Eoghan O’Neill for sending this into JOE on Twitter.
