Finn Balor is a rising star in the WWE.
Fergal Devitt, who performs on the WWE under the name Finn Balor, has renamed his finishing move in a tribute to the Easter Rising of 1916.
Devitt, who is from Bray, Co. Wicklow, already had a pretty solid historical reference in the original name for his finishing move – the Bloody Sunday – but he confirmed on Twitter that he’s changing the name to 1916 for Easter week.
Here’s what a ‘1916’ will mean for one of his opponents.
'1916'
Named after the Irish Rising
On Easter Sunday 1916.

Count us out.
Plenty of his fans on Twitter aren’t all that enthused about the change, saying that they preferred the moves original name.
