Here’s what they’re going to have on show.

Vue cinemas has announced the reopening of its venues in Ireland from later this month on Monday with tickets available to pre-book now.

From Friday 18 June, film fans in Dublin and Limerick can enjoy a couple of hours of entertainment in either Vue location, meanwhile, movie fanatics in Ashbourne will have to wait until 5 July for their screens to reopen.

The theatres will have an array of hit movies on show for their highly-anticipated reopening, including Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, The Father, and a new musical from the creator of Hamilton and the director of Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights.

From Thursday 24 June, film lovers will also be able to catch the 9th installment of one of cinema’s most iconic film franchises, in Fast and Furious 9: The Fast Saga.

And from 25 June, Jason Statham will also return to the silver screen in Guy Ritchie’s, Wrath of Man, as well as the return of the world’s most lethal odd partnership in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard on from Friday 18 June.

Toby Bradon, General Manager of Vue Entertainment in the UK and Ireland, said ahead of the reopening: “In a year marked by restrictions on our daily lives, the importance of escapism has never been stronger.

“After the best part of a year at home, we know that families and entertainment fans in Ireland are craving safe out-of-home experiences like never before – cinema provides that unique experience of being able to truly immerse yourself in a great story.

“We’ve already seen really positive signs in England, Scotland and Wales with lots of people returning to the magic of the big screen, so we can’t wait to welcome film-lovers back to the home of big-screen entertainment here in Ireland too, where they can escape to great stories once again.”

Tickets are available now for all venues here at myvue.com.
