Dog abandoned

This is genuinely hard to watch.

The RSPCA has launched an investigation after a Staffordshire bull Terrier was abandoned at the side of a road in Stoke-on-Trent in the United Kingdom.

CCTV in the UK has captured footage of a motorist who appears to abandon his dog at the side of the road. The video shows the driver of a car take his dog off the leash and throwing the dog’s bed on the ground before running back to his car and trying to drive away.

The dog chases the man back to the car, circles the car several times and jumps up to paw at the driver’s door but to no avail. Eventually, the video appears to show the man driving a way.

You can watch the video below, but it is very sad.

Fortunately, the Staffie has since been rescued by the RSPCA and is being looked after. They are also looking into who was behind abandoning the dog. According to Devon Live, the RSPCA believe there was a second person in the car.

While the dog is microchipped, it is not believed that its last two registered owners are responsible for the abandonment. The dog has been nicknamed Scoop by RSPCA staff.
