WATCH: Incredible footage of Gavin James, Hozier and more singing ‘Fairytale Of New York’ on Grafton St

Several of Ireland’s most high-profile musicians set up shop on one of Ireland’s most busy high streets this Christmas Eve to have a sing-song in aid of Ireland’s homelessness crisis.

Up-close footage has emerged of Gavin James, Hozier and Danny O’Reilly performing a rousing rendition of The Pogues’ Christmas classic Fairytale of New York.

The busking session was organised by Glen Hansard, who has been front and centre of the movement to occupy Dublin’s empty Apollo House in order to provide shelter for the homeless over the winter period.

Luke O’Brien sent us in this fantastic footage of the lads singing Fairytale of New York with the aid of hundreds of carollers. It’s the finale of the whole performance, as Hansard announces that the fun has to stop on order from the Gardaí.
