WATCH: Prince Charles tried out hurling in Kilkenny under the watchful eye of Henry Shefflin

We’ll stick him out with the Junior Bs and see how he gets on…

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla are in Kilkenny today as part of their three day trip to Ireland.

The visit is the first since the UK voted to leave the European Union last year.

While the pair met with President Michael D. Higgins in a reception in Áras an Uachtaráin last night, they enjoyed a visit to Kilkenny Castle on Thursday where they were greeted by some hurling royalty.

Hurling legends Henry Shefflin and Brian Cody were on hand to meet them and give Prince Charles a crash course in the dark arts of hurling.

While we’re not sure he’ll ever make it at the highest level, the fact that he connected with the ball at all is somewhat of an achievement for the Prince of Wales.

We’ve seen others try and fail on their first attempt.
