This was so, so close…
Three cyclists were lucky to emerge from their cycle unscathed over the weekend when they had a very near miss with an oncoming lorry.
The incident happened in the north-west of the country and will have no doubt left a lasting imprint on the minds of the novice cyclists.
The footage was uploaded by Irish cycling website, The Sticky Bottle, and it shows three cyclists on a rural road. As they cycle, an oncoming lorry crosses into their lane and narrowly avoids ploughing into the cyclist wearing the camera.
Luckily all the parties in the video emerged from the incident unscathed, apart from the new underwear they had to buy.
This is not the first video of a near miss we’ve seen in the last while. Irish Rail recently released footage from one of their stations which shows one man narrowly escaping death on their tracks.
