Waterford FC has confirmed that the club’s manager was hospitalised following a vicious assault in Tramore on Sunday morning.
Alan Reynolds was reportedly the victim of an unprovoked assault at around 1am in Tramore on 27 May, when he was jumped on from behind and subsequently beaten and kicked, possibly by more than one man.
In a statement, the club were able to confirm that Reynolds is recovering in hospital following the attack.
“The club will be making no further comment on the matter,” the club’s spokesperson finished.

Gardaí are viewing CCTV footage, but no arrests have been made so far. They are currently appealing for witnesses.
