Weather advisory issued for all of Ireland, with snow on the cards

Ah December, it’s nice to meet you.

A weather advisory has been issued for all of Ireland.

Met Éireann issued the notice on Tuesday morning, though it will not come into place until 4pm on Wednesday evening.

It will remain valid until midnight on Friday.

Met Éireann said to expect weather to be “much colder” for the rest of the week, with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches.

There will also be some wintry showers too, so snow is not beyond the realms of possibility for this week either.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, alright.

While a weather advisory is one step below a weather warning, it certainly implies that it’s going to be pretty damn cold out there for the week.

So long story short, stay on the couch wrapped up in a blanket if you can, and start planning what movies you’re going to watch on Netflix…

And definitely get the hot water bottle out.

More information can be found on the Met Éireann website here.
