Met Éireann’s latest forecast spells good news for all of us who don’t want the fine weather to end

It’s inevitable that the weather forecast will signal a return to more miserable conditions eventually, but no sign of it yet.

Weather conditions throughout Ireland are set to be warm and humid for this weekend, according to the latest weather forecast from Met Éireann, with temperatures regularly hitting the mid-20s in the coming days.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all set to be mostly dry with plenty of sunny spells, with patchy spells of light rain or drizzle arriving only occasionally to help us all cool down just a little bit.

After a dry and clear night on Friday, temperatures will hit highs of 22 degrees amid plenty of sunny spells on Saturday, although it will be slightly cooler in the northwest due to a light to moderate west to northwesterly breeze.

The mercury will rise even higher on Sunday, touching the mid-20s at times, but there will be fewer sunny spells than Saturday as warm, humid and dull conditions become prevalent throughout the country.

Similarly muggy conditions are set to prevail on Monday, although outbreaks of rain are likely to be more common, while fresher conditions and scattered showers will return on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, when highest temperatures will still range between the high teens and low 20s.

Not as spectacular a forecast as there has been in recent weeks in Ireland, but we’ll take it.
