With weather like this, it could be the perfect weekend to make plans

Alan Loughnane

Hell yeah!

We’ve sat through what seemed like a never-ending list of weather warnings over the last coupe of weeks, and it seems our patience is finally paying off.

The weather for this weekend, thankfully, looks set to be very mild, dry and just about perfect for you to go out and do some activities with your friends.

Friday will be mostly dry with sunny spells and unbroken sunshine in some areas, with temperatures between 9 and 13 degrees.

Friday night will be colder with temperatures dropping as low as -2 degrees in some areas with patches of frost and fog developing.

It will get much warmer on Saturday as temperatures rise to between 12 and 16 degrees in what will be a mostly sunny day. Although it will be slightly cooler in the east of the country thanks to a moderate northeast wind.

Saturday night will be dry with temperatures of between 1 and 3 degrees, but in some rural areas this could fall to -1 with some sharp ground frost.

Onto Sunday which will again be dry with temperatures of between 14 and 16 degrees for much of the country, although again, in eastern areas it may be slightly cooler.

All in all, sounds like a good weekend for activities…
