The weather is expected to stay unsettled over the weekend.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway and Mayo.
Published on Thursday morning (10 November), the alert is currently in effect and is set to remain in place until 10pm on Friday.
It states that “strong to gale force” south to southwest winds will occur on Thursday and into Friday morning.
As part of this, gusts of 90 to 110km/h are expected.

As for the weekend, Met Éireann’s forecast says there will be plenty of clouds about on Saturday, though some hazy sunny spells are expected.
“After a rather damp start with patchy rain and drizzle, it looks set to become largely dry for the afternoon and evening,” it reads.
“Staying mild with highs of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh south or southeast breezes.”
Meanwhile, Sunday looks set to be mostly dry with a mix of clouds and some hazy sunny spells.
“There is the chance of rain affecting some western and southwestern coastal areas at times, especially later in the day,” Met Éireann adds.
“Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh and gusty southeast winds. Rain is expected to affect parts of Munster and Connacht on Sunday night, but it looks set to be largely dry elsewhere.”
