Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning ahead of the freezing conditions this weekend.
Severe drops in temperature and cold snaps are expected to affect Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan this weekend.

It’s been issued for Friday, 16 March 2018 at 9am and remains valid until Sunday, 18 March 2018 at 23:59.
As for a full weather forecast for the patron’s saint weekend, the national meteorologist site have warned those participating in parades or general merriment should be aware that evening temperatures are set to drop to as low as -4°C with the east seemingly set to be the worse affected.
