Happy days!

While the idea of breaking out the barbecue is always an invitation to tempt fate in Ireland, it appears this week is set to be an extremely good one on the weather front, with Met Éireann predicting some extremely dry and sunny conditions throughout the country.

In fact, Met Éireann has stated that rainfall will only occur later in the week and that we’re set for some very mild conditions with 20C expected in some places.

Here’s what’s in store over the coming days.

Monday is set be mostly dry and sunny with highest temperatures reaching 15 to 20 degrees. Tonight is set to be dry with clear spells throughout.

These conditions will continue into Tuesday with the mercury reaching between 16 to 21 degrees in some places. It will be coolest on the east and south coasts and warmest in the midlands and Connacht. Tuesday night will be dry as well.

As for Wednesday, conditions are expected to be dry and sunny. However, if you’re living on the west coast, expect a few more clouds than the rest of the country. Highest temperatures will reach 15 to 20 degrees with moderate southeast breezes.

Thursday will continue to be largely dry with sunny spells. There will be a bit more cloud than previous days with a possibility of one or two isolated showers later in the day.

Again, expect temperatures to reach between 15 to 20 degrees.

Friday morning will be a dry one but showers are expected to develop in the east and south. These showers will spread westwards across the country during the afternoon.

Looking ahead to the weekend and the current forecast suggests that Saturday and Sunday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers.

The rainy conditions will be heaviest on Sunday, with longer spells of rain possible.

All in all, it looks like we’re set for a pretty decent week on the weather front.
