One lucky National Lottery player from Westmeath woke up to one of the best Christmas presents we’ve ever heard of, as they won €500,000 in the National Lottery.
The National Lottery have appealed to all of its EuroMillions players to check their tickets to see if they landed this incredible prize.
The golden Quick Pick ticket was bought in Cards ‘n Things in the Harbour Place Shopping Centre in Mullingar on 23 December, making this the 28th winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 in 2018.
Owner of Cards ‘n Things, Tim Crooks, said today: “We are absolutely delighted to have sold this winning ticket and for whoever the winner may be! There is a possibililtiy this was bought as a gift amd we can’t think of a more perfect one at this time of year. Congratulations to them and we hope they enjoy.”
Meanwhile, the jackpot was not won on Tuesday night, so this Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot is worth a mega €120 million.
