Wetherspoons have plans to open four more bars in Ireland

They’re ‘100% committed’ to Irish expansion.

British pub chain Wetherspoons are set to open four new bars in Ireland.

Their are currently five Wetherspoons operating in Ireland – The Three Tun Tavern in Blackrock, The Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire, The Great Wood in Blanchardstown, The Old Borough in Swords and The Linen Weaver in Cork –but company spokesperson Eddie Gershon has just announced plans to open four more pubs.

The Examiner have revealed that the pub chain already have four new sites identified— in Dublin, Cork, Carlow and Waterford. Some of these locations have already received planning permission while others are currently waiting on approval.

Speaking about their existing five pubs in Ireland, Gershon said that they’re doing “very well” and that they remain “100%” committed to continually expanding its presence here”.
