Gardaí investigate Wexford home after the discovery of young man’s body

Gardaí are investigating “all circumstances”.

A Garda investigation is taking place after a body was discovered at a house in Wexford in the early hours of Wednesday morning (2 March).

The body of a man in his 30s was found in a home in a newly constructed housing estate on the Rosslare Road in Wexford town, with Gardaí and emergency services being rushed to the scene.

The area was sealed off and his body was taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.

Gardaí say that the results will determine the course of their investigation and that they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the body being found.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a body of a man in his 30s at a property in Wexford town in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday (2 March).

“His body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.”
