What a bunch of rankers – The Guardian had a terrific typo this morning

Typoos – the bane of online and print publications...

JOE

As everyone well knows, topys typos can be the bane of online and print publications.

We’re all guilty of them… but that doesn’t stop the mistakes from often being really, really, funny.

This morning, The Guardian had a great one to kick off 2014, as they posted an article ‘ranking’ the cricket commentators from The Ashes series, following on from Australia’s complete whitewash of the English.

The fact that Australia completely whitewashed the English isn’t really integral to the story but we thought we’d mention it anyway.

Check out the hilarious headline below:

typo

The excellent error has since been (unfortunately) fixed, but that still doesn’t take away from the fact that the headline, along with the other surprisingly appropriate choice of phrases (“more scratchier,” “driven by pure lust,” “brushes off,” and “only way is up”) is an absolute comedy classic.

Now, will somebody please proof-read this article to make sure that we haven’t made any mistooks…
