What a legend: Robbie Savage treats young cancer patient to a spin in his Ferrari

A brilliant gesture…

Robbie Savage has been the focus of a lot of people’s ire over the last few years, both as a player and as a pundit, but he shows he can be a bit of a legend too with this act of kindness.

When everyone else was enthralled with the closing transfer window (including us here in JOE), Robbie (we’re calling him on first name terms for being a legend) was making a young cancer patient’s dream come true by bringing him for a spin in his Ferrari.

Six year old Eddy Perry has a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer and has been through the mill with treatments. Robbie, however, heard about the young man’s plight and offered to make his dream of getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari come true. Robbie tweeted this:

He then went on to ask for signatures for a petition to help young cancer patients:

Dare we say it, but it’s a pretty savage thing to do. Good man Robbie, fair play.
