So much room for activities.

Ireland just got a little more Hollywood as Will Ferrell has reportedly bought a house in Cavan.

The Step Brothers actor has reportedly bought an Irish lakeside retreat Arley on the shores of Lough Sheelin in Mountnugent, according to the Meath Chronicle.

Arley was sold, and although the real estate services provider Savills did not say who bought it, local reports indicate it was bought by Ferrell. Contracts have been exchanged it’s believed.

The property is a former holiday home built for Lord Farnham of Cavan and it has been on the market for €700,000, with Savills. It’s only changed hands once, when it was sold to it’s current owner, around 30 years.

It’s understood that Matthews Auctioneers of Oldcastle are conducting a two-day clearance auction on the premises on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Furniture and fittings were not included in the price, although they were available to purchase separately.

The Lodge will continue to be used as a private family holiday home, following an immediate, and extensive, refurbishment by the soon-to-be new owners.
