Woman in her 40s killed following two vehicle collision in Meath

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

A woman in her 40s has died today (9 November) following a road traffic collision between a car and a lorry.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.40pm on the Bush Road in the Gibbstown area of County Meath.

The woman was the only occupant in the vehicle, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Her body has since been moved to the morgue of Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem will take place.

The road has been closed for technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen the collision or have dash-cam footage available.
