A woman in her 60s has died after being hit by a truck in Dublin

Gardaí have confirmed that a pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in Dublin on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí said: “A woman in her 60s has died following a traffic collision on Bulfin Road, Dublin 8 on 2nd October 2018.” Bulfin Road is in the Inchicore area of South Dublin.

Gardaí are now investigating the traffic collision, which involved the woman and a truck. It took place at roughly 4.40pm on Tuesday. The deceased has not been publicly named.

According to the Gardaí, the injured woman was taken from the scene by ambulance to St James’ Hospital but was pronounced dead in the early hours of Wednesday morning (October 3). The driver of the truck was uninjured.
