The incident occurred in Islandbridge in Dublin 8 on Tuesday afternoon.

A man in his 30s received a number of stab wounds following a serious assault in Islandbridge in Dublin 8 on Tuesday afternoon. A woman in her early 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred at a residence in Islandbridge at approximately 3.20pm on Tuesday (11 February). The man was taken to St James' Hospital following the incident and while the exact extent of his injuries are unknown at this time, they are not believed to be life-threatening. The woman was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Kilmainham Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
