The woman has been taken to St James Hospital.
Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred in St Stephen's Green in Dublin on Tuesday (1 February).
At approximately 4.15pm, a woman in her 50s was assaulted, and has since been taken to St James Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigations into the assault are ongoing.
