And you thought you had a bad day…
We’ve heard of jilted lovers getting revenge before, but rarely have we heard of anyone doing it in as gruesome a fashion as a woman in China who killed an ex-lover in the most brutal manner having been subjected to fairly brutal treatment by her victim in the first place.
According to The South China Morning Post, a Hong Kong court recently heard the tale of Yeung Ki, who attacked former lover Zhou Hui on St. Stephen’s Day in 2012 after he had raped her, beaten their young daughter and tried to blackmail her into giving him money for a new car by threatening to publish nude pictures of her on the Internet.
The court heard how Ki fed Hui with drug-laced soup, cut off his penis with a scissors and then flushed it down the toilet before beating him to death with a hammer. Hui was married to another woman at the time, but during his relationship with Ki he allegedly borrowed money off her on numerous occasions without paying it back and deserted her while she was pregnant with their child.
Yeung confessed to the crime at a Social Welfare Department centre the following day and though she admits killing him, she is denying a charge of murder and says she is not guilty as she was provoked.
The trial is expected to continue for another 11 days.
