A woman is currently on trial for five counts of sexual assault.
A woman in the UK has told a court of her disbelief that a ‘man’ she had been having sex with for two years was actually a female friend of hers who had been using a prosthetic penis during intercourse.
According to the Daily Mirror, the complainant told Chester Crown Court that she thought she had been having sex with a man known as Kye Fortune, who claimed he had a brain tumour and wanted the woman to wear a blindfold because he didn’t want her to see his scars.
The pair originally met on Facebook after the woman received a friend request from Kye Fortune, who claimed to be half-Filipino and half-Latino.
Having struck up a relationship online, the pair eventually met in person after Fortune told her that she was a great help in him getting through his illness (a brain tumour) and that it was a sign that they should get married and have kids.
During this time, the complainant also became friendly with another woman called Gayle Newland, who claimed to know Fortune.
The pair eventually met in person, but only on the stipulation that the complainant wore a blindfold on account that Fortune was “anxious about the way he looked” and “could not walk properly” due to nerve and muscle damage.
They met at a hotel where they had sex, with the person purporting to be Fortune claiming that they had to sign out a private hospital before the meeting and had to return to hospital afterwards.
After a number of sexual encounters during which a prosthetic penis was used, the complainant eventually discovered that it was Gayle Newland after all and reported her to the police.
Newland is currently on trial in Chester Crown Court, where she denies five counts of sexual assault between February and June 2013.
