UPDATE: Intel announce that security alert at Leixlip plant is now over

Workers at the Intel plant in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, located just off the N4, have been told to leave the premises following a security alert this morning. The alarm was raised at 6.30am and motorists have been advised to avoid the area as the evacuation is causing heavy traffic and delays. A Garda spokesperson has said that the situation is currently ongoing and while staff have been evacuated from the plant, nothing has happened so far...@aaroadwatch Traffic spectacularly jammed at Intel end of Leixlip. UPDATE: Workers at Intel are now expected to return to work as the company has announced that the security alert is now over at the plant in Leixlip.
