Workers at the Intel plant in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, located just off the N4, have been told to leave the premises following a security alert this morning.
The alarm was raised at 6.30am and motorists have been advised to avoid the area as the evacuation is causing heavy traffic and delays.
A Garda spokesperson has said that the situation is currently ongoing and while staff have been evacuated from the plant, nothing has happened so far…

UPDATE: Workers at Intel are now expected to return to work as the company has announced that the security alert is now over at the plant in Leixlip.
